HOW IT WORKS

Know the next step. And who is responsible.

Every service starts with your circumstances and a clear agreement. The application process depends on the program, the decision-maker, and the work you authorize.

Different applications.
Different sequences.

Choose a common application to see its main stages. Individual service pages go into the specific process and preparation.

THE APPLICATION AT A GLANCE

From a school offer to a study permit.

Admission, provincial requirements, immigration approval, and arrival are separate milestones.

Explore study permit services An outline for planning. Your circumstances determine the requirements.
  1. Choose & verify

Confirm the DLI, specific program, costs, admission offer, and any future PGWP implications.

  2. Meet provincial requirements

Check PAL/TAL requirements or an exemption, and the Quebec CAQ process if relevant.

  3. Prepare & submit

Organize financial and supporting evidence, review the complete file, and use the correct application channel.

  4. Respond & plan arrival

Complete requested steps, review the decision, and check travel documents and permit conditions before you leave.

Working with Path Canada

Agree on the work before it begins. Keep the documents, decisions, and responsibilities clear as the file moves forward.

Find the right department
  1. Enquiry & initial direction

Share your goal, current location and status, prior application history, and any deadline. We identify the service or specialist review needed.

  2. Professional review & written scope

Confirm the responsible professional, authorization, available options, work, fees, and agreement before paid advice or representation begins.

  3. Document plan & preparation

Use the applicable checklist, gather genuine evidence, resolve inconsistencies, and arrange any required translations or third-party appointments.

  4. Review & authorized submission

Review the completed file before signing. Confirm who submits it, who receives correspondence, and how copies and receipts are retained.

  5. Requests, changes & decisions

Track official requests and deadlines. Report material changes and review the decision with the responsible professional when the engagement includes that work.

  6. Arrival, conditions & future dates

Review travel and document conditions, plan any settlement referrals, and record upcoming renewals. Agree separately on work outside the original scope.

What you should receive

  • A defined scope and the name of the responsible professional
  • Written fees and relevant third-party costs
  • A document plan appropriate to the service
  • Copies of submissions and payment receipts where included
  • Clear responsibilities for correspondence and deadlines

What remains your responsibility

  • Provide accurate information and disclose previous decisions
  • Review and approve information submitted in your name
  • Supply requested documents and report material changes promptly
  • Follow the conditions attached to your status and documents
  • Seek timely advice when a deadline or unexpected issue arises

Government assessment is a separate stage.

A service agreement cannot guarantee an official decision or processing time. An admission, job offer, expression of interest, or application receipt is not the same as an approval.
